T O P I C R E V I E WZauberinI've been getting feedback from my friends about something. Some say it's a good idea, others think I'm nuts. What do you guys think?I've known this guy for 4 years. He lives in Lawrenceville GA. Recently we decided we should take our friendship to the next level and have started a romantic relationship. Thing is, we also thought that since we live so far apart (3 hours apart, actually) that if we wanted to see other people locally it was okay with each other. It would be selfish of us to not be this way since this is considered a long-distance relationship. Are we crazy, or do you guys agree with us?GrasshopperDon't get boggled down in what other's say. They may or may not be right .... for them. What the two of you have done is given yoursElf to step up the intimacy of your relationship without diving into the commitment-aspect. This is a perfectly healthy way to explore a new kind of relationship with a tried friend. Now, a legitimate concern is differing expectations. Just keep the communications open and truly honest. If he goes out with another gal and it sticks you sharply with jealous ... talk it over with him and expect him to do the same. You've put yoursElfs in a situation of truth ... so be truthful to each other And good luck!!!! (GOD, I love this yoyo.)------------------"The reason why birds can fly and man cannot is simply that they have perfect faith; for to have faith is to have wings." ~JM BarrieRandallWhatever feels right for you is totally okay. It doesn't matter what others think. ------------------"Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca ClarkRainesZauberin, I hope that we are all crazy. Because if this is sanity(life) I'm scared. theFajitaYEs, you two could do it. but like someone said, be honest with each other about everything. And mention it if you begin to feel different about it, and let him know to do the same. That way if things begin to change, you can either save your friendship and remain friends, or take it to the level of commitment. Just curious? What are the both of yours' signs?------------------Food is the only art that nourishes!Randall ------------------"Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you."
